We believe that hockey is more than just a game—it’s a community. By bringing together players from different cities and backgrounds, we’re not only building a strong team but also creating a network of families who share the same commitment to the sport.
Whether at practices, tournaments, or team events, players and parents will have opportunities to form connections that support their development both on and off the ice. These relationships are an essential part of the hockey journey, helping families navigate the sport at every level.

WHY AAU Hockey?
The Iowa Wild Wings were founded to give young players from across the state a chance to compete at a higher level while connecting with other passionate hockey families. While USA Hockey programs do a great job of introducing kids to the game, many players are looking for additional opportunities to challenge themselves beyond the half-ice format. Our team provides a full-ice experience that supplements their current development, allowing them to face top competition while playing alongside other dedicated teammates.
